The eagle-eyed among you may have spotted our latest modern sour beers in the wild, but for anyone that hasn’t, we have two new items for your basket next time you’re in for your weekly shop…
Introducing Dark Fruits and Peach & Passion Fruit Bellini, which hit the shelves last weekend. These vegan friendly thirst-quenchers are built for summer - they’re juicy and absolutely bursting with flavour.
Like our Tesco beers, they sit out with our Sour Sunday releases, which we’ll continue to brew every 3 weeks with sessions, mid and high Vault-age sours available in bottle shops, bars and our web store.
Thanks to our house mixed-culture, they’re shelf stable like all our beers, so they don’t need refrigerated in store, but it’s worth chilling them once you get them home so they can be enjoyed at the perfect temperature.
Peach & Passion Fruit Bellini
Peach & passion fruit go beautifully together. These two fruits take centre stage in our cocktail-themed sour beer. When it came to planning the recipe, we felt inspired by the fizz and bubbles of an iconic drink and decided to put a Vault City twist on it.
So, we raised a glass to the classic flavour combination of juicy peach and passion fruit (about 1200 kilos of the stuff!). The addition of refreshing grape juice with our house-mixed culture creates an eye-catching, vegan friendly, modern sour beer that’s packed with flavour.
Dark Fruits
Our inspiration behind this one is perhaps a little more obvious, but it’s not the first time we've paired dark fruits like blackcurrant and blackberry, and certainly not the first time they've captivated our collective palate at Vault City HQ.
In fact, this beer takes inspiration from Dark Fruits Bakewell, a Vault City original, except this time we’re letting the fruit speak for itself. Our vegan friendly Dark Fruits sour has a distinctive dark purple colour and strong aromas from almost one and a half tonnes of fruit. We’ve combined Scottish blackcurrants and blackberries with our base beer to create something tart, sweet and delicious in equal measure.
