Reinheitsgebot Denier Sweatshirt
Traditionalists look away. This one is for the deniers.
The Reinheitsgebot is the German Beer Purity Law introduced in 1516 in Bavaria. It said that beer could only be made using water, barley and hops, with yeast added to the list later once it was understood. The aim was to protect grain supplies for bread, control beer prices and standardise quality, but it also limited creativity in brewing for centuries. We read that and laughed in fruit.
