Every month, we’re re-investing everything we have. We’ve taken on loans, secured support from Scottish Enterprise, and kept pushing forward, but we can’t pretend it’s easy. It’s a challenging time for the industry, and access to funding for breweries has become more limited than ever.
That’s why we’re asking for your support again with a crowdfunding sale to help us finish the journey and build something that lasts — staying proudly independent while we do it.

WHY ARE YOU LAUNCHING A CROWDFUNDER SALE?
In February last year, we ran a flash sale to help us secure a warehouse that we hoped would become our forever home. Since then, we’ve poured everything into making that dream a reality.
Over the past 14 months, we’ve reinvested every penny of revenue, taken out loans, received support from Scottish Enterprise, and kept pushing forward. But it’s no secret — the industry is facing tough times, and funding is harder to come by than ever.
The loan secured against our mortgage ended up being less than we originally planned for, and the funding support is only reimbursed after we’ve paid upfront for equipment and installation. As an independent business, covering those upfront costs is incredibly challenging.
That’s why we’re asking for your support again, offering big discounts and reward tiers to customers, wholesales, importers, bars and bottle shops, to help us finish the journey and turn this space into everything we know it can be.
WHY NOT TAKE EXTERNAL FUNDING?
We already have a bank loan secured against the mortgage for the warehouse we bought last year.
Beyond that, we’ve had plenty of offers from private equity firms — but staying independent is a choice we’re proud to make.
Remaining in control means we get to make decisions that reflect our values — like paying the London Living Wage, running a 4-day work week, and brewing the beers we want to drink (ever tried a Double Deep-Fried Mars Bar stout? Try explaining that one to an investor).
We’re building something that reflects our community, our creativity, and our commitment to doing things differently — and independence is a big part of that.
WHY NOT DO AN EQUITY BASED CROWDFUNDER?
It’s a route that’s worked well for plenty of breweries over the years — though not always so well for the investors. We want to be completely up front: we need cash to help finish building our new brewery. But instead of asking you to buy into shares with potential returns down the line, we’d rather give you something back right now — like 33% off (and even more on bundles).
This way, you get great beer with a discount, and we get your support to keep growing as an independent brewery.
CAN I USE MY VOUCHERS?
Yes, absolutely! Just place your order using your vouchers as normal and this will count towards your overall spend.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING TO DO WITH THE MONEY RAISED FROM THE SALE?
Our brewery build is well under way. With the money from our 2025 crowdfunder sale we’ll be installing a brand-new brew kit, an on-site lab, a dedicated NPD (new product development) space, and the launch of our barrel-ageing programme.
We’re also investing in key sustainability upgrades as we continue working towards our goal of net zero brewing.

If we hit the max threshold of guests for October 24th launch party we’ll host a second party on a later date.
• £200 spend (in a single order or over multiple) – A ticket to our launch party when we settle in to our new home, plus an exclusive Vault City beer brewed on our new site will be available to you as a freebie on us (excluding shipping), plus your name etched into our forever home.
• £500 spend (in a single order or over multiple) – Okay, this is a lot of beer to buy, so we want to make it special. The first 7 people to hit this tier will all have the opportunity to collaborate on a joint beer with us and join us for the brew day with a plus 1. • £750 spend (in a single order or over multiple) - The first 7 people to hit this reward tier will get all of the above with your name on a Vault City tank and 10 cases of your very own bespoke beer.
One lucky winner will be chosen from all the orders over this period to become our “Sourmellier”, chosen to sample all our new releases for the remainder of 2025. Your job as a sour beer taste tester for Vault City will involve lots of sours, sharing feedback, thoughts and ideas – a dream job for the right sour sipper!

Yes! Our Haymarket taproom and bottle shop will be offering 33% off all Vault City takeaway cans and bottles during the crowdfunder sale.

Absolutely! We have big discounts and reward tiers for trade customers. All discounts apply to orders received during the official sale period (April 15th - May 13th).

HOW TO ENTER
You’ll be automatically entered into the prize draw when you do any of the following during the promo window of April 15th – May 13th:
• Tag us on social media using #TheForeverVault showing Vault City pouring on tap, featured on menus, or displayed in-store (1 entry per venue)
