Packaging/Cellar Operator
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll be responsible for all aspects of packaging and cellar operations. Ensuring our finished product is turned into shiny packaged product. Setting and operating the bottling, canning and kegging lines in line with company release requirements, assisting in cellar operations where required and tasting and signing off on tasty sour beer. You’ll be joining a tight-knit team at our new brewery just off the beach in Portobello, Edinburgh.
Reporting to our Production Supervisor, you’ll work a 4 day week, Monday to Thursday 8am – 5.30pm.
Duties include:
- Taking full responsibility of packaging. Equipment includes - Meheen M6, ABE LinCan 30 and Keykeg filler
- Cellar operations e.g. tank cleaning, beer additions, daily readings, using CIP cart, carbonating, etc.
- Working to the production schedule to ensure deadlines are met
- Recording data in line with company SOPs and SALSA food hygiene requirements
- Data gathering for KPIs and process improvements
This will be a developing role as the company grows so an open mind to change and a positive attitude is required!
Key Competencies and Experience:
We’re looking for someone who has
- 2+ years’ experience working in a brewery on packaging lines
- Cellar experience
- Engineering experience, to offer on-the-go solutions
- Creative problem solving skills
- MS office experience and analytical skills
- Forklift trained
A full, cleanish, UK driver’s licence is essential.
Renumeration:
Salary - £26K per annum, reviewed annually, increased at a minimum in line with inflation. Private healthcare. 4-Day work week. Loads of free beer.
Warehouse Operator
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll be responsible for all aspects of the warehouse. Loading and unloading pallets, regular stock checks, warehouse organisation, receiving deliveries and shipment dispatch. You’ll be joining a tight-knit team at our new brewery just off the beach in Portobello, Edinburgh.
Reporting to our Production Supervisor, you’ll work a 4 day week, Monday to Thursday 8am – 5.30pm.
Duties include:
- Ensuring the warehouse is organised and stock is accessible at all times
- Working closely with our Sales Co-ordinator to prepare shipments for customer orders e.g. webshop packing, pallet loading and securing, B2B dispatch, etc
- Ownership of stock accuracy
- Ensuring cleanliness in line with SALSA food safety standards
- Deliver and pick up materials where required in company van
This will be a developing role as the company grows so an open mind to change and a positive attitude is required!
Key Competencies and Experience:
We’re looking for someone who has
- Previous experience of warehouse operations
- Forklift certified
- Full UK driving licence (cleanish)
- Strong organisation skills
- Ability to prioritise and communicate on an urgent basis
Renumeration:
Salary - £20,387 per annum, reviewed annually, increased at a minimum in line with inflation. Private healthcare. 4-Day work week. Loads of free beer.
