A Haunting Look Back at Our Best Halloween Beer

HAPPY SOUR-OWEEN!

As the nights get darker and the air gets colder, we’ve been looking back at some of our favourite beers to haunt Vault City over the years. Glowing green goses, blood-red sours, , and nostalgic autumn treats… spooky season brings out something special in our brewery.

Here are a few of the beers that made Halloween unforgettable.

GOSEBUMPS AND SLIME

Turn the lights down low and watch this can glow… literally. Gosebumps and Slime oozed with fresh lime, lemon juice and zest, pouring bright green and packing a spooktacular tart punch.

TANGY FANGS

This sour beer came with a serious bite. Tangy Fangs blended blood-red, jammy Scottish strawberries with a refreshingly tangy finish, creating a beer that looked like a vampire’s favourite nightcap.

VAULT DWELLER

Deep within the Vault, where traditional beer styles met their untimely demise— Vault Dweller was created. Conditioned on zesty lemon and lime juice, it remains the sourest beer we’ve ever unleashed. Made for the brave, the curious, and anyone daring enough to wander into the Vault’s depths.

WASTELAND IMPERIAL VAULT DWELLER

Rising from the ruins of our 2023 session sour came Wasteland, its imperial, super-charged successor. Lemon, lime, kiwi, and apple turned the Geiger counter up to the red, producing an intensely sour blast and an eerie green colour. A post-apocalyptic sour that left a lasting impression.

BLOOD & INK

In collaboration with tattoo artist and Ink Master finalist Freddie Albrighton, we brought art to life in liquid form. Blood & Ink combined sweet, jammy fruit with the subtle savoury edge of deep black squid ink. Bold, expressive, and unlike anything we’d made before.

TOFFEE APPLE

Not every spooky-season beer needs to be terrifying. Toffee Apple was our softer side: crisp, tart apple juice and purée balanced with rich toffee sweetness, wrapped up in the delicate sour character of our mixed-fermentation base beer. Nostalgic, comforting, and perfect for sweater-weather sipping.

Happy Halloween from all of us at Vault City! Now… which one of these should we summon back first?
